Volunteer Organization

CSAE Trillium Chapter is a volunteer-based organization. The Chapter operates programs for its members by its members. The Board, through its various committees, is responsible for achieving and completing the objectives as outlined in the strategic plan. The Board and volunteers are expected to be active participants in the affairs of the Chapter. The Chapter retained the services of Executive Director Tracy Blyth, CAE to provide management support to complete the activities of the Board and Committees.

2013 Trillium Chapter Award Winners
INVOLVEMENT – LEADERSHIP – INNOVATION - ACHIEVEMENT

The recipients of the Trillium Chapter’s 2013 Awards were announced in October. These 5 individuals are all outstanding in their commitment to the CSAE Trillium Chapter and we invite you to join us in celebrating their awards.

Chapter Service Excellence Award - Executive Member
Dinaz Garda, CAE, Ontario Real Estate Association

Since joining the Trillium Chapter in 2002 Dinaz Garda, CAE, Manager, Executive Office Operations, Ontario Real Estate Association has sat on absolutely every committee possible. She joined the Trillium Chapter Board of Directors in 2006 and progressed through the ranks and eventually became President in 2010. Dinaz is also the winner of the 2012 President's Award.  Congratulations Dinaz.



Chapter Service Excellence Award - Business Member
David Stempowski, Eaton Chelsea, Toronto

No less than 28 industry and association members nominated David Stempowski, Senior Sales Manager, Eaton Chelsea Toronto, for this award.  It was abundantly clear to the judging panel that he is well-loved and well-respected by his peers within the hospitality industry as well as the not for profit sector.  David has served on many Trillium Chapter committees including Co-Chair of both the Annual Awards Dinner as well as the Annual Holiday Season Dinner.  Well done David.



Chapter Emerging Talent Award - Executive Member
Jacintha Ward, Supply Chain Management Association

Although Jacintha Ward, Manager, Executive Office,  Supply Chain Management Association has only been a member of CSAE for 3 short years her contributions have been plenty. She first volunteered on the Holiday Season Dinner Planning Committee and has contributed to the committee for 3 years.  Since then she has also joined the PDX Committee and helps to develop the professional development program for our members.  Well deserved Jacintha.



Chapter Emerging Talent Award - Business Member
Mira Todorovic, Tourism Hamilton

It is hard to believe that Mira Todorovic, Meeting & Convention Sales Coordinator, Tourism Hamilton has been a member of CSAE for less than 5 years as so many of you know her.  She is a “tour de force” and is an exceptional volunteer continually going above and beyond her duties.  A Hamilton hometown favourite Mira, was instrumental in bringing the 1st Annual Winter Summit to Hamilton and so ensured its success, it became a staple in the Trillium Chapter annual event line-up.  Thank you for your commitment.




President’s Award
Gilles Latour, Canadian Education Association

Gilles Latour, Chief Operating Officer, Canadian Education Association has served on the CSAE Trillium Chapter Board for seven years, in addition to having served on the Communications, Membership, Awards, PDX Committees as well as many task forces.  Gilles is full of energy and always willing to volunteer to help the Trillium Chapter, no matter how challenging or time consuming the task may be.  During his time on the Chapter Executive Board of Directors, Gilles’ thorough knowledge of association management as well as his background knowledge of the Chapter was invaluable. Gilles served as Chapter President in 2011-12.  Although Gilles has completed his commitment to the Board we know that he will continue to serve as a strong volunteer dedicated to the Chapter and the association community.







Criteria

Chapter Service Excellence Award
The Chapter Service Excellence Award recognizes a colleague or volunteer who, throughout their career, has demonstrated significant contribution and commitment to CSAE and the profession of Association Management or has made significant contributions in support of Association Management. Recipients of this award are those who have provided leadership, great ideas and inspiration.

Chapter Emerging Talent Award
The Chapter Emerging Talent Award recognizes one Executive Member and one Business Member, who, within the first five years of the members’ careers in the association sector, or within the first five years of CSAE membership, has demonstrated remarkable promise as future leaders in the association sector.

President’s Award
The President’s Award is granted at the discretion of the Chapter President to recognize and celebrate a Trillium Chapter Member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty.
