Our Mission

The Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) Trillium Chapter, as the regional voice for association professionals, facilitates the exchange of ideas, information and experiences to encourage personal and professional growth and prosperity for all members.

Our Strategic Plan:

To have been a model in influencing change for the benefit of our members in three key areas:

  • We have reinforced a mutually supportive relationship between the Trillium Chapter and National. Through continued dialogue and joint planning, we provide distinct yet complementary products and services.
  • All members are fully engaged consistent with their individual wishes. Our programs and services are specifically designed to meet the needs of members in our region, and furthermore, all members have equal access to all programs.
  • We are a model of leadership through volunteerism. We have a strong and effective governance structure that is emulated by others.
Our Leadership Priorities:

1. Strengthen our relationship with National.
2. Enhance our processes to understand the needs and expectations of members.
3. Improve member access to products and services.
4. Examine our resource allocation strategies.
5. Undertake a review of our governance arrangements.

Quotes from the 2005-06 Chapter Annual Report:

Countless hours of volunteer time has gone into making this past year a success. This report will highlight some of the key highlights, focusing on some of the many changes undertaken over the past year to improve member service and focus. These include:

An increased Professional Development Exchange (PDX) program focus on networking, while remaining committed to delivering an excellent education program for association executives;

A re-introduction of themed Forum newsletters, providing perspective on issues facing association leaders;

Two successful, well-attended Special Events, including significant expansion of the Chapter's annual trade show;

Expansion of the Chapter's sponsorship program to include Professioanl Development Exchange (PDX) events

A successful fiscal year, positioning the Chapter for expanding revenues in years to come;

Contributions toward a national strategic plan that will unite CSAE leaders and volunteers across Canada in achieving common goals for the benefit of all members. The above successes, combined with attentive care paid to controlling expenses and working efficiently, have resulted in a successful financial year for the Chapter as well. Staff and volunteers are tirelessly committed to ensuring that all of our programs are successful, and address member needs. There are of course still many opportunities for improvements, and new programming and services that will further enhance the Chapter's value to members. With the energy and passion of members, volunteers and staff leaders, I am confident that the Chapter will continue to flourish and reach new heights.
