Deepen your staff - Board partnership.

Build a truly strategic decision-making team.

Ensure your organization’s continued success.

Given the fast pace of change, now more than ever, it’s imperative that volunteer leaders and staff are working together to ensure continued organizational success.

Designed for association senior management and volunteer leaders to participate as a team, this interactive program provides expert content and opportunities for deep discussion between your association’s decision-makers.  This program is a rare and unique opportunity to get away from day-to-day challenges and fully immerse your team in strategically moving the association forward.  Specifically, this program will cover the roles, responsibilities, and relationships necessary for building and maintaining a decision-making team and become a strategic thinking team.  By absorbing the same content together and using assessment tools, discussion questions, case studies, and background research, our expert content leader will initiate the important conversations you will have between your staff and volunteer leaders.  In addition to your team, you will gain new insights and ideas from your association colleagues as open discussions will be encouraged.

About our Content Leader

Paul D. Meyer is President and Co-CEO of Tecker International, LLC (www.tecker.com).  For over 30 years, Tecker International, LLC has been a leader in advocating for the important and unique partnership between association volunteer and staff leaders.  Tecker International, LLC is a well-published consulting firm serving a global association profession.  Paul has directly engaged with over 300 organizations in a variety of industries and professions in developing strategy, change management, and governance reengineering.  He will draw on his vast experience to provide insight and context for our discussions.  Paul is known for bringing a high level of energy and fresh perspective to all his engagements. Prior to Paul’s work with Tecker International, he worked in senior management positions for several large not-for-profit organizations.  This experience as a staff member, created an understanding and appreciation for the unique and important roles volunteers and staff play in the success of organizations.  Paul is also a content leader of the American Society of Association Executives’ (ASAE) popular CEO Symposium.

Paul is co-author with partners Glenn Tecker, Leigh Wintz, and Bud Crouch of an ASAE popular publication, The Will to Govern Well: Knowledge, Trust and Nimbleness.   More about Paul D. Meyer can be found on TI’s website, www.tecker.com
