Using a ‘Coach Approach’ In Your Conversations
This interactive session will teach participants to adopt a ‘coach approach’ in their conversational style; leading to greater confidence when tackling difficult conversations and stronger working relationships. We will explore the benefits of incorporating key coaching skills of acknowledgement, listening, and strategic questioning to help create awareness and responsibility in others and enable development and growth in one’s own job and life.
Participants will learn to apply a coach approach to their conversations in order to:
- Increase engagement
- Increase accountability
- Elicit employee-generated solutions and strategies
- Build capability in direct reports and peers
Kirk Fox is a senior leadership development facilitator and Executive Coach with over 25 years of business experience in a variety of sectors where he is able to leverage his diverse experience to engage participants in a meaningful way. In addition to facilitating leadership development programs to all levels in an organization, Kirk is a Certified Executive Coach and has coached senior executives, leaders and teams in both the private and public sector. Kirk inspires his clients to transform and develop themselves, along with those around them, in order to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Kirk received his Executive Coaching certification through Royal Roads University and is also a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) as well as GTA Coaches. Kirk contributes actively to the learning and development community through his membership and position on the Board of Directors with the Institute for Performance and Learning (formally CSTD) and has received his Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) designation.
