Hello CSAE BC Members!
My name Rhian Williams, the new chair of the CSAE BC Local Network. Over the last few months, we have been diligently working to set up the schedule for the next 12 months of events. I am very excited for upcoming year as we organize both educational and networking events for all of our members to attend.
In April, the Leadership Team met to continue with the transition of the new business model and in addition to developing new and more interesting ways for more member engagement. Read more

Okanagan Roundtable Building Conflict Competence

On May 26th the Okanagan region of CSAE BC held a spring Roundtable to serve its members and engage non-members from a wide cross-section of the non-profit community. Held at, and sponsored by, the scenic Manteo Resort in Kelowna, the session focused on Building Conflict Competence and was facilitated by Lane Sherman.
Lane Sherman is a conflict resolution specialist, author and educator, who has been intervening with teams to mediate disputes and transform dynamics for over 12 years. Read more
Building Community: Four MLA's Share Insights

Associations wanting to know how to get the attention of local MLAs and attract interest in their issues got some excellent advice at the CSAE-BC MLA Panel. Held on January 30, 2017 at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, MLAs from all three parties answered pre-submitted and live questions from CSAE-BC members. BC Liberal MLA Dr. Darryl Plecas, NDP MLAs Spencer Chandra Herbert and David Eby, and Green Party MLA Andrew Weaver shared tips on what makes them pay attention and what they find particularly useful when working with associations.
