Association Essentials 2012 Fall Courses

Foundations of Association Operations

This course introduces the student to the world of associations. Students will gain an understanding of:
  • Governance models
  • Role of staff
  • Role of volunteers
  • Role of members
  • The unique nature of working in an association

Membership Concepts & Fundamentals

This course will prepare the student to become an effective membership professional by teaching key concepts in member ship and related services. The student will learn how to:
  • Develop recruitment and retention plans
  • Develop member products and services
  • Calculate key metrics such as the life-time value of a member

The Association Essentials courses are delivered through a collaboration between CSAE and Seneca College. Registration for any of the Association Essentials courses is available online through Seneca College and can be easily found by entering the search term CSAE once there.
