About CSAE
Honoured Life Member - for Executive or Business Members

The CSAE Honoured Life Member Award is designed to recognize a member’s sustained commitment and outstanding contribution to CSAE for a minimum of 10 years on a national basis, and/or for contributions to a local chapter for 10 years based on a demonstrated and effective involvement at that level. The ten-year contribution may also be a combination of service at both levels. Recipients have achieved prominence through their sustained commitment to CSAE. The Board of Directors may grant this award to no more than two qualified individuals each year in recognition of outstanding contributions to the Society.

Denise Turenne's management career is impressive. Initially, she sat on several boards of directors at a time when few women were involved in business management. To this day, she remains a senior volunteer on the Boards of many volunteer and business organizations in her community. She was a member and Task Force Chair of CSAE’s Nominating Committee for several terms after 1995. In addition, she served on CSAE’s By-Laws Revision Task Force in 2000 and has been an Education Committee member for numerous National Conferences.

In 2001, her outstanding qualities as an association leader, her extensive community involvement, and her contributions to the growth of association management were recognized by the Society who bestowed upon her the CSAE Pinnacle Award.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Continuous member of CSAE for at least ten years
  • Full-time employment as an executive member or senior manager within an organization serving the association sector at the time of nomination
  • Employment at an association for at least five years
  • Self-nominations are ineligible

Submission Requirements

A complete Honoured Life Member Application Form containing:

  • Nominee information
  • Reference information for three supporters (one of whom must be a current CSAE member)
  • Nominee’s Record of Achievement Form
  • Current résumé
  • Three reference letters
  • Narrative (250-500 words) illustrating why the nominee is deserving of this award
